The Food Club Brand Announces Partnership with Feeding America®
The Food Club brand announced today its donation of 5 million meals* in the coming year as part of its partnership with Feeding America® to help improve food security in communities across the U.S. The Feeding America network consists of food banks, pantries, meal programs and the Feeding America national organization working together alongside communities to end hunger in America.
Established in 1945, the Food Club brand brings its grassroots focus of family, community, quality, service, and value to the forefront for today and tomorrow’s shoppers. With conscious consumerism on the rise, and shoppers’ purchase intent increasingly driven by a self-inspired responsibility to do good within their community, Food Club is a brand that’s more than meets the eye. It’s about everyday living and every day giving. It’s a brand that tastes good and does good, and it supports shoppers who want to feed their family and their community.
“We’ve redefined Food Club, a brand that has existed for almost 80 years that still delivers value and quality, but now also offers a purpose-led vision,” said Steve Smith, President & CEO of K-VA-T Food Stores. “We know many of our shoppers are thoughtful about how purchases have an impact beyond the transaction. Food Club is making the simple choice of buying the foods our shoppers love an act of giving.”
Feeding America has developed numerous partnerships over its tenure, and each one brings another opportunity to raise awareness and drive impact in the movement to end hunger.
“We are truly excited to partner with Food Club. Ending hunger is a mission that requires strong collaboration, which is why we’re grateful for partners like the Food Club brand who are helping us ensure everyone has access to the food and resources they need to thrive,” said Lauren Biedron, Feeding America’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships
September is a month of purpose and action. Shoppers will find new Food Club brand packaging designs rolled out across stores over the next year beginning this month. September also marks Hunger Action Month®, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about hunger in America. In every community in America, people are working hard to provide for themselves
and their families; yet in 2022, 1 in 7 people experienced food insecurity in the U.S. Now is the time to take action to improve food security across the nation.
