Utilizing Topco's aggregate volume, superior market knowledge, on-site inspection process, and national procurement coverage, members are able to serve as the dominant perishable merchant in their respective marketplaces.

Fresh Meat

Topco's Fresh Meat program procures beef, ground beef, pork,  lamb and veal. The program purchases more than $1.5 billion in fresh meat each year on behalf of its membership. Topco is the largest purchaser of Certified Angus Beef in the world– 15 years running. In addition, the Fresh Meat team employs dedicated protein procurement specialists and agricultural economists who provide market intelligence and critical market data to its member-owners so that they can compete effectively in today's diverse marketplace.

Branded Meat

With more than 2,200 member, Topco and control brand products, the program includes processed meat, turkey, chicken, seafood, deli and in-store bakery. Forty-five Topco member-owners participate in the program, and they procure, on average, more than 200 truckloads of branded meat each week. Brand Meat members collectively purchase in excess of $500 million in products each year.


Topco's Produce/Floral program procures fruits, vegetables, flowers and floral arrangement products for Topco's membership. Produce team members are located in major U.S. growing areas and inspect produce quality on behalf of the Topco membership. The team also provides members with market intelligence regarding crop conditions in various growing regions, industry trends and pricing information. Topco procures its produce and floral needs on behalf of its membership in the form of contracts, block buys, opportunity/incremental buys, seasonal/program buys and turn/promotional business.
